Equality and diversity committees

The University has two equality committees.

Equality Executive Group

The Equality Executive Group has responsibility for reviewing and making recommendations to the University Executive Board on the University's equality and diversity strategy. The Group is chaired by Professor Martin Stringer and meets at least twice a year.

Diversity Forum

The Diversity Forum is a larger group made up of student and staff representatives from across the University, including representatives from the Guild of Students, the University unions and the staff equality groups. The Forum is an opportunity for members to raise issues of concern and/or interest to the University's attention and reports to the the Equality Executive Group.

Student and Staff Diversity Advisers

The student and staff Diversity Advisers are based in Academic Services and Human Resources and operationalise equality and diversity strategy. They are also members of the Equality Executive Group and the Diversity Forum.

Student and Staff Equality Groups

There are  a number of staff and student equality and diversity groups at the University that are also represented on the Diversity Forum.
